Meet Sprout!

This 5-month-old Shih-Tzu puppy is ready to settle in and snuggle! Sprout is a timid little gal who prefers to scope out new situations from a safe distance—although, if that situation includes an open lap, she’ll sprint over in a second!

Sprout loves nothing more than cuddling up with her people and snoozing the day away. She may need a little extra time and patience to feel comfortable in a new environment, but once she warms up, her sweet and affectionate personality shines through.

Like her sister Cabbage, Sprout was born with abnormalities affecting one of her rear legs. Her adopter should be prepared to continue monitoring her mobility with their veterinarian and understand that it's important for her to maintain a healthy body weight for her life. Despite her unique leg, Sprout continues to enjoy life and doesn’t let them stop her from getting to a welcoming lap!

Sprout loves people and does well with other dogs, cats, and children. She is kennel-trained and is continuing to work on house training.

Sprout’s adoption fee includes her spay through our partner program at Best Care Pet Hospital when age appropriate. She is up to date on age-appropriate vaccinations, including rabies, distemper, Bordetella, and lepto; has been started on monthly heartworm and flea/tick preventatives; and is microchipped.
