Look into her eyes and she'll share her soul with you. Meeka is a very special girl that joined us in October of 2024 after being shot on the Pine Ridge Reservation. She was welcomed to B-Squad and received emergency care including having her rear leg amputated. This girl has never looked back and is truly as sweet and soulfull as they come. Meeka doesn't let having three legs slow her down... she can do anything a four legged dog can do. She enjoys soft beds, sunning herself, rollling in snow, and exploring on walks.
Meeka did come from a home with other dogs, but did require very slow intros to dogs in her foster home. We are happy to report that after about a month of crate and rotating, she is fully integrated with all of the resident dogs and now foster dogs that continue to come in and out of the home. Her ideal home would be that of an only dog or someone that is willing to take the time to help her slowly integrate into their pack. Meeka was spayed by our team at Best Care Pet Hospital while in rescue. All of the dogs in our program are up to date on age appropriate vaccinations (distemper, bordatella, lepto, and rabies), started on monthly preventatives for heartworm and fleas/ticks, and are microchipped.
