Ernie and his brother Bert came to B-Squad from our friends at Lightshine Canine Rescue when they were ~5 weeks old. Ernie was treated for a skin infection upon arrival. He has received his clean bill of health and is ready to go home. Ernie's foster gave him a DNA test - and he is a boxer/lab mix - with many other breeds mixed in. Ernie has been attending class at Nerdy K9 and would benefit from someone committed to further training.
FROM HIS FOSTER:
Meet Ernie! This loveable guy jumped right into our home and quickly adapted to his new way of life. Ernie is a little snuggler who will be the first to cozy up to you and will follow you all around the house and yard. Recently he discovered his new favorite thing -- SNOW! He loves to run and play outside with his resident dog. He loves his people and will greet you when you come home, even if you were only gone for a minute. Ernie knows his name and is a quick learner - and is potty trained. He's a puppy and likes to play and wrestle with other dogs actively - and as soon as he's done, he will curl up for a nap with you and sleep soundly - he loves a good cuddle. And then he's right back to playtime again. He loves his people and follows us throughout the house - but may take a minute to warm up to visitors. Ernie loves to follow other dogs around the home and would do best in a home with an active resident dog to teach him the ropes. This loveable guy would be an excellent addition to your home.
ADOPTION REQUIREMENTS:
Patient home to continue to work on being a confident dog, housetraining, and basic obedience
Home with another confident dog is preferred
Fenced back yard to give him space to run safely
Ernie has been neutered at Best Care Pet Hospital. He is up to date on age-appropriate vaccinations, monthly preventions and has been microchipped. Please complete an application to welcome him home today!
