10 months old | Female Maltese/Shih Tzu

Sweet, playful, curious and always ready for whatever is happening next — meet Daisy! ��

At just 10 months old, Daisy is still a puppy, and she is doing incredibly well in her foster home. She loves other dogs and REALLY wants her foster sister Margie to play with her. Margie has yet to accept the invitation ��, but Daisy remains optimistic!

Thankfully, this girl knows how to entertain herself. She’ll happily play with her toys on her own and also loves a good game of fetch. Once playtime is over, Daisy is more than ready to settle in for some cuddles. ❤️

She’s also incredibly curious about the world around her. If something is happening, Daisy would very much like to investigate and understand exactly what everyone is doing. ��

Daisy has been doing great on walks with a harness and doesn’t pull, which is pretty impressive for a busy little 10-month-old!

She’s still working on potty training and isn’t completely consistent yet, although most of her accidents have been on pee pads. Her new family should expect to continue helping her master that skill with a consistent routine and positive reinforcement.

Being left alone is another work in progress. Daisy would much rather be wherever her people are and isn’t a huge fan of her playpen — she’ll bark and has discovered that she might just be athletic enough to escape it. �� A secure kennel will likely be the better option when she needs to be left alone. The good news? She slept quietly in her pen all nightand was simply sitting there waiting for her foster family when they got up in the morning.

Daisy is young, affectionate, playful and eager to be part of everything. She’ll need a family willing to continue working on those last few puppy skills, but she has all the makings of a wonderful little companion.

Play with her. Take her for a walk. Let her investigate everything. Then make some room on the couch because Daisy is coming in for cuddles. ����

Your adoption fee includes the spay/neuter procedure through our program at Best Care Pet Hospital. All dogs are up to date on age appropriate vaccinations including rabies, distemper, Bordetella, and lepto. They have been started on monthly heart worm and flea/tick preventions and are microchipped. Please complete an application to welcome them home today!
