Bert and his brother Ernie came to B-Squad from our friends at Lightshine Canine Rescue when they were ~5 weeks old. Bert was treated for a skin infection upon arrival. He has received his clean bill of health and is ready to go home. Bert's foster gave him a DNA test - and he is a boxer/lab mix - with many other breeds mixed in. Bert has been attending class at Nerdy K9 and would benefit from someone committed to further training.
FROM HIS FOSTER:
Meet Bert! This loveable guy jumped right into our home and quickly adapted to his new way of life. Bert is a little snuggler - we joke he must have been raised by cats because he "purrs" when he is snuggling (aka a cute soft growl). He loves his people and will greet you when you come home, even if you were only gone for a minute. Bert is a smart pup and has figured out the stairs and dog door quickly - and is potty trained! He loves to explore the yard! He knows his name and is a quick learner. He's a puppy and likes to actively play and wrestle with other dogs - and as soon as he's done, he will curl up for a nap with you and sleep soundly - he loves a good cuddle. And then he's right back to playtime again. He loves his people and follows us throughout the house - but may take a minute to warm up to visitors. This loveable guy would be a wonderful addition to your home.
ADOPTION REQUIREMENTS:
Patient home to continue to work on being a confident dog, housetraining, and basic obedience
Home with another confident dog is preferred
Home with a fenced-in yard to keep Bert safe
Bert has been neutered at Best Care Pet Hospital. He is up to date on age-appropriate vaccinations, monthly preventions and has been microchipped. Please complete an application to welcome him home today!
