Mae arrived to B-Squad as part of our large rescue effort from a commercial breeding facility in early December. She has received her veterinary clearance and is ready to find her forever home!
From Mae's foster home:
Mae has come a long since she came to us in December. She plays well with other dogs, is intrigued by cats and loves being around her people. She is a littler nervous around men and takes some time to warm up to strangers, but is not aggressive in the slightest. She is mostly house-trained but has an accident here or there. She is kenneled during the day but gets very anxious if she can’t sleep in the bedroom with you. Mae is a gentle, shy lady that is still learning to be a dog but has a lot of love to give.
Others Notes about Mae
- She is create trained.
- Mostly potty trained, may have an accident if she isn’t let outside right away in the morning.
- Lives with Cats (litter box needs to be somewhere she can’t get to)
- Fenced in backyard would be great idea.
- She ok with our 8 year old and has been around toddlers, but didn’t pay any attention to them.
- she would be great in a house with a dog already.
- she tends to wander away and find something to get into like most puppies. (Garbage, dirty clothes, stuffed animals etc)
ADOPTION REQUIREMENTS:
- Patient family to continue working on confidence and basic training
- Physically fenced in yard to keep her safe.
The adoption fee includes her spay which was done through our program at Best Care Pet Hospital. All of the dogs in our program are up to date on age appropriate vaccinations (distemper, bordatella, lepto, and rabies), started on monthly preventatives for heartworm and fleas/ticks, and are microchipped. Please complete an application to welcome home your new best friend today!
Special Statement About Adoption Fee:
Mae was a part of our largest rescue effort in our history. All of the dogs from these transports have received extensive veterinary care including extra screenings for canine brucellosis, treatment of infections, fecal testing, and extra veterinary exams to receive their medical clearance for adoption. Their adoption fees are slightly higher than normal to help us cover some of these expenses. We hope that you recognize the extraordinary care they have received to get them rehabiliated and ready for their forever homes.
