Gemma is a 7 year old female English Bulldog. She came to rescue looking pretty sad after spending her life in a breeding facility. In the year she's been in rescue, we've seen her blossom both inside and out. She's the BIGGEST love bug you will ever meet and just adores attention. She's also the biggest DIVA you will ever meet in your lifetime. Gemma has some hip issues that will require medication for the rest of her life. She will not be a dog that will ever go for walks, but she does enjoy walking around the yard, sunning herself on the deck, and soaking up all the pets you can give her. The only thing that can get her to move is food and offers of snuggles:) She is currently working on losing additional weight (and she's not happy about it). She is on a prescription weight loss diet that will need to continue for some time until she reaches her ideal weight as well!

Gemma is just under 60lbs. Because she is a diva and likes to play "Rock" most of the time, her future adopter will need to be able to lift her to get her to get to places she's not that excited about. Slow introductions to dogs that will respect her space will be ok. No children under age 6 only due to her hip issues and not wanting them to accidentally hurt her. What else can we say, this chubby girl has more personality per square inch than any dog we've ever met!

Gemma's adoption fee is $300. She is up to date on vaccinations, monthly preventatives, is heart worm negative, has received a spay and extensive dental while in rescue and is microchipped. Please complete an application today to welcome this Diva home!

ADOPTION REQUIREMENTS

• Patient home that will provide all the love this girl needs
• Home with very few stairs. Gemma can do 2-4 steps but that is about it
• Financially stable home that can provide her needed medications for the rest of her life. (est $60 per month)
• 1-2 Resident dog home that are respectful of space or a no dog home. 
• Physically fenced in yard to let her roam when she desires but will keep her safe.
