Archibald came to B-Squad after being released from a commercial breeding program due to having a shorter tail. He has been recovering in rescue and has now received his veterinary clearance for adoption.

FROM HIS FOSTER: 

Meet Archibald, the Regal Beagle, but his foster family calls him Archie for short. Archie is learning how to be a house dog and is catching on quick! He will kennel up for a treat or mealtime, has learned how to sit with his doggie foster siblings for treats, and is working hard on his potty training. He loves playing with his beagle foster brother and Archie is pretty sure almost anyone can be his best buddy. However, he is very respectful with the old dog in his home that would prefer to pretend Archie just doesn't exist! Archie is very food motivated and will do about anything for a treat. 

Like most beagles, he is a busy guy! He loves playing with toys, chewing on Benebones like the big dogs, and trying to find whatever snacks he can reach with his little legs! Archie is learning to take naps in his pen when he gets tired. He loves getting to hang out in the middle of the action and cozy up into his bed to rest, which is fantastic. On top of typical puppy antics, he is true to his breed and loves running around the yard, hunting for food, and causing mischief! His new family will have to be committed to being diligent with his potty training lessons, and take frequent happy outings to help him continue learning to be brave little pup. He would do best in a home with another playful, confident dog who can show him that life is fun, and a family that will enjoy his beagle antics!

ADOPTION REQUIREMENTS:

• Patient home to continue to work on being a confident dog, housetraining, and basic obedience
• Home with another confident dog preferred
• Home with a physically fenced in yard to keep him safe with his active nose

Archibald's adoption fee includes his neuter when age appropriate through our program at Best Care Pet Hospital. He is up to date on age appropriate vaccinations, monthly preventions, and has been microchipped. Please complete an application to welcome him home today!
