Abbygaili is part of a group of dogs that came to B-Squad after their kennel experienced a devastating aflatoxin poisoning at the hands of dog food they were eating (Sportmix produced by Midwestern Pet Foods, Inc.) Aflatoxins are toxins produced by the mold Aspergillus flavus, which can grow on corn and other grains used as ingredients in pet food. At high level, aflatoxins can cause illness and death in pets. B-Squad was honored and humbled to be able to welcome Abbygail and many of the other survivors to B-Squad.Abbygail's poisoning occurred in November of 2020. Abbygail has been seen and has had several blood tests completed to measure his liver and other organ functions. We are happy to report that Abbygail has received a clean bill of health from our veterinary team and is now ready to find his forever family.
Abbygail is very timid and will require a home that is patient and continues to help her come out of her shell. We have experienced a little food agression when kenneled with food- she tends to bury food. When food is out in the open she has no issues or qualms about others. She would do really well with another dog in the house. Loves loves loves the outdoors but would need a fence.
Abbygail has been spayed and received a dental while in our program. Abbygail is up to date on vaccinations, monthly preventatives, and is microchipped. Please complete an application to welcome Abbygail home today!
