Rip is part of a group of dogs that came to B-Squad after their kennel experienced a devastating aflatoxin poisoning at the hands of dog food they were eating (Sportmix produced by Midwestern Pet Foods, Inc.) Aflatoxins are toxins produced by the mold Aspergillus flavus, which can grow on corn and other grains used as ingredients in pet food. At high level, aflatoxins can cause illness and death in pets. B-Squad was honored and humbled to be able to welcome Rip and many of the other survivors to B-Squad. Rip's poisoning occurred in November of 2020. Rip has been seen and has had several blood tests completed to measure his liver and other organ functions. We are happy to report that Rip has received a clean bill of health from our veterinary team and is now ready to find his forever family.
Rip is a very playful, gentle love machine. He loves belly rubs and running around with the kids. He is working on loading into the car on his own. He knows sit and stay pretty well and comes when he is called. He gets along well with other dogs. Crinkly toys and tug o war are a quick way to get his attention. Mostly potty trained and if he can convince you to sleep in the bedroom at night he will be by the bedside all night.
Rip is up to date on vaccinations, montly preventatives, is mircrochipped and will be neutered prior to going home. Please complete an application to welcome this big boy home today!
