Rhett joined B-Squad in early June after being released due to a commercial kennel closure. Rhett joined B-Squad as a typical commercial breeding dog often does with being timid due to lack of socialization. She will require a patient family that will help her continue to learn how to be a dog and build her confidence. Here are some notes from her amazing foster:

Rhett is such a sweet little girl, she wants to please.  She both craves and fears contact, but when she does allow pets, she’s a complete love bug. Rhett has made incredible progress while in rescue. She had previously needed to be carried outside through doorways, but recently has learned there is nothing to be afraid of and is coming in and outside on her own with the guidance of her foster sibling!  She is just starting to learn how to walk on a leash (with harness).

In all other respects, she’s a perfect little angel.  Now instead of “stalking” me, she follows me like any other loyal dog… who’s looking for a treat or some pets!  She does like her some belly rubs…  And she knows her name, will come when called if not spooked by something.  If spooked though, the only place you’ll find her is in her crate.

Rhett will do well in a home without young children that can easily startle her. A resident dog that can continue to teach her how to be a dog and a phsyically fenced in yard is a must. This girl will require some patience, but continues to grow and will be an amazing dog as she continues to learn how to trust and build confidence!

ADOPTION REQUIREMENTS:

• Patient home to continue to work with her on basic obedience and confidence
• Physically fenced in yard to keep her safe
• Confident resident dog to continue to teach her all things dog

Rhett was spayed while in rescue and is current on vaccinations (rabies, distemper, bordatella, and lepto), monthly preventatives, and is microchipped. Please complete an application to welcome her home today!
