Mia is quite simply a miracle! Mia was welcomed to B-Squad near the end of January along with her littermates Ezzy and Tekashi, who were all suffering from distemper. Distemper is the most deadly of viruses that attack our furry friends. Puppies can suffer from respiratory and intestinal issues and some will also develop neurological symptoms that generally lead to painful seizures and death. There is no cure for distemper, we can only provide aggressive support and pray that their little bodies can outlast the course of the virus. We were deeply saddened to lose Tekashi over a month into his battle, but are OVER THE MOON EXCITED to say that both Ezzy and Mia have received their veterinary clearance of adoption from the University of Wisconsin and Best Care Pet Hospital both with clean bills of health!
Mia is an active love bug! Mia has mastered sit, stay, paw/shake. We are working on, off, come, & leave it. She is obsessed with carrying shoes around so “leave it” is taking a bit of time 😊 Mia would do best in an active home that will take her on walks or play fetch in the backyard. She loves other dogs but necessarily wouldn’t need to go to a home with one. It would just be a bonus for her. She loves movie nights and will make herself comfortable right in the center of the couch. Mia is not food aggressive at all, she takes her sweet time eating most days. She also absolutely loves toys.
