Ezzy is quite simply a miracle! Ezzy was welcomed to B-Squad near the end of January along with her littermates Mia and Tekashi, who were all suffering from distemper. Distemper is the most deadly of viruses that attack our furry friends. Puppies can suffer from respiratory and intestinal issues and some will also develop neurological symptoms that generally lead to painful seizures and death. There is no cure for distemper, we can only provide aggressive support and pray that their little bodies can outlast the course of the virus. We were deeply saddened to lose Tekashi over a month into his battle, but are OVER THE MOON EXCITED to say that both Ezzy and Mia have received their veterinary clearance of adoption from the University of Wisconsin and Best Care Pet Hospital both with clean bills of health!
Ezzy will need a patient family to keep working with her . She sits , shakes , lays down and comes when called but the staying part not so much. She loves someone to play with whether a person or other dog. She is extremely sweet and is treat motivated. She can still be mouthy at times. Her ways of telling you she has to go outside to potty are very subtle. She loves toys especially the squeaky ones. She sleeps in her bed in her playpen all night and whines when she is up. Ezzy loves kids, sometimes too much , she has be reminded they are little. I have exposed her to kids 1 year old and up her favorites are those she can wrestle and play chase with. I absolutely adore this pup , her and I have been through a lot getting her healthy. I have started boundary training with her because we do not have a fenced in yard, she has done well unless again the bird thing.
- Patient family to continue to work on basic obedience and housetraining
- Physically fenced in yard preferred but not required
- Active family that will be able to meet Ezzy's physical and mental needs
Ezzy's adoption fee includes her spay when age appropriate through our program at Best Care Pet Hospital. She is up to date on appropriate vacciantions, preventatives, and has been microchipped. Please complete an application to welcome her home today!
