Cajun came to B-Squad rescue from LightShine Rescue in Pine Ridge as a 5-week-old pup. His mom is a Corgi, and his dad is unknown. He quickly settled in with his foster family and is looking for his forever home.
As soon as Cajun wakes up, the whole house knows he is ready to play! Mornings are his favorite time - he is full of energy, ready to run through the house and yard. Cajun loves to wrestle with the other dogs in the home – but a patient playmate is a must: he is a puppy and sometimes bites too hard. He loves to follow the older dogs around and will imitate their behaviors – good and bad. When it’s naptime, he will curl up with another dog or on a human’s lap and cuddle. He will let you know if it’s not cuddle time and still play time with a fiesty little puppy growl. After dinner, he curls up on the couch with his humans and snuggles as he winds down for the day. Cajun sleeps all night (and stays dry) in his kennel. Cajun does not like to be alone and is used to having people and other dogs around him, except when he is sleeping in his kennel.
He is working on potty training and is getting good at going out the doggie door. Cajun has started going on walks and keeps up very well. Cajun is still a puppy – he is very curious and likes to chew. After an initial get-to-know-you period, he has been friendly to strange people and dogs. He has not been around small children, cats or other animals. Cajun will be a great addition to any home as the newest member of your family.
Cajun's adoption fee includes his neuter through our spay & neuter program with Best Care Pet Hosptial. He is up to date on age appropriate vaccinations (distemper, bordatella, lepto, and rabies), preventatives, and is microchipped. Please complete an application to welcome him home today!
